When Your Pet Needs More Care… Pet Diagnostics in Peoria

Keeping your pet up-to-date on their vaccinations and routine wellness exams goes a long way towards keeping them healthy, but it’s important to expect the unexpected. As with humans, our animal companions are just as, if not more, susceptible to injury and illness. At Whitney Veterinary Hospital, we provide a number of pet diagnostics tools and tests to diagnose and treat illnesses and orthopedic issues in cats and dogs. Whether your pet is having chronic loose stool, or they’re not putting weight on one of their legs, our experienced veterinarians and certified veterinary technicians will work to find the cause.

Pet diagnostic tools allow us a more non-invasive approach to checking the condition of your pet’s internal systems. Using our advanced diagnostic equipment, we can assess organ function, blood cell count, bone density, urine concentration, and much more.

CT Scans Are Now Available

We are excited to announce the addition of CT (Computed Tomography) to our practice! We are thrilled to be able to offer this service in a local capacity, making Whitney Veterinary Hospital one of the first in the area to offer veterinary CT. This valuable digital imaging technology will help us diagnose a wide range of different health issues and disease processes associated with the brain, spinal cord, spine, abdominal, thoracic, and pelvic cavities.

All CT scans will be performed under anesthesia and each patient will be closely monitored by one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. We will utilize a Board Certified Radiologist to read our CT scans and then your pet’s doctor will call to discuss the results.

Call us today to schedule a consult to determine if a CT is the right diagnostic tool for your pet.
